This is the home of the Chester Festival Chorus.  Every year from May onwards we work hard to prepare for our annual appearance in July singing some of the world’s best choral music.  Over the years we’ve had a chance to sing with many world renowned orchestras, conductors and soloists. Look through the site for information about the choir, our past and future concerts, as well as information on how you can join us!

2020 brings the exciting prospect of us providing the chorus for a semi-staged production of Bach’s glorious St John Passion by English Touring Opera on Maundy Thursday in Storyhouse Theatre, accompanied by ETO’s period instrument orchestra, the Old Street Band and conducted by Jonathan Peter Kenny.  For the performance ETO have commissioned new translations of the Chorales from theological and literary figures including the Anglican priest, journalist and broadcaster, Dr Giles Anthony Fraser and former Archbishop of Canterbury and poet, Dr Rowan Williams.  Details can be found here.

Details of further concerts in 2020 will be provided in due course.
